In our Diversity & Inclusion through Sport project AZ1 Hockey has successfully implemented a transformative program that goes beyond on- ice training. Focused on inclusivity and social impact, our initiative has provided valuable guidance and support to less fortunate individuals, with a particular emphasis on working with BIPOC athletes and parents. Through hockey and expanding into additional avenues, we’ve actively promoted diversity, creating a platform for open-minded living. Our seminars following on-ice sessions have empowered athletes to navigate and respond to racism and discrimination. By prioritizing the inclusion of all individuals we’ve cultivated an environment that fosters personal and societal growth. Moreover, our commitment extends to addressing racial and discriminatory acts, emphasizing cross-cultural awareness. As a dedicated resource for athletes, AZ1 Hockey is driving positive change in both sports and society, promoting unity, and understanding.
